2009 Awards/Recognition Night - September 21, 2009 in Newlin Hall at 6:30 p.m.  Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish to share.  Please RSVP by September 11, 2009 by calling the Extension office at 812-948-5470.

2009 Costume Carnival - October 31, 2009 in Newlin Hall at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  All kids K-8 grades are welcome.  Come trick or treat with Floyd County 4-H!  Safe fun for all trick or treat'rs! Members of 4H are asked to dress up in their Halloween Costume and help pass out candy to the public.  All public welcome. 

2010 Bowling Party - February 2010 - 4-H'ers Bowl for FREE.  Bring a friend and bowl with Floyd County 4H.

2010 Poster Contest - Posters are to promote 4-H. Poster categories are grades K-2; 3-6; 7-9; and10-12. One winner in each grade level will be selected. However, in grades K-2 each participant will receive an award. Participants must bring the poster to the Extension Office on a specified day and judging will be on the following day.  Winners will be announced on during the Bowling Party. Winning posters will be displayed at the Extension Office during 4-H week.

2010 Fair Theme Contest - turn your theme idea's in to the Extension Office by March 1, 2010 so they can be considered. Prizes may be won if your theme idea is chosen.

2010 Project Activity Day - February 2010 - Newlin Hall - Open to all children ages K-8.  Sign up information will be passed out at local schools.  Projects and activities include:
Cake Decorating, Electric, Floriculture, Model Building, and more.  Silver Spurs Horse & Pony Club  members may work this event and qualify themselves for year-end high point awards.  Members of 4H may also receive 4 hours of community service (if you work the whole time).  Help needed with cooking hot dogs, handing the hot dogs and chips out to the kids who participate.  Help is needed with each booth - instructing kids on what to do, help with those teaching the activity.  Help will also be needed at the end of the event - tearing down tables & chairs, sweeping and mopping floors etc.
